Since 1989, Markers Harborside Grille and Markers Express have been a mainstay of the Jersey City financial district, serving breakfast, lunch, happy hour and dinner Monday through Friday. Markers is located at the south entrance to the world-class Harborside Financial Center, on the Jersey City waterfront, directly across from lower Manhattan.

Sometimes referred to as “Wall Street West”, the bustling business and financial district is easily accessible by car or train from Newark, Hoboken and New York City. Harborside Financial Center is just steps from the Exchange Place PATH station, and is also the site of a station on the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail, the first modern light rail transportation system to be built in New Jersey in 50 years.

Harborside Financial Center was built on the grounds of the old Jersey City Penn Station, ferry and shipping terminals. Exchange Place was a primary terminal of the Pennsylvania Railroad before 1911, where passengers from points west would board ferries bound for Manhattan. After 1911, when new rail tunnels under the Hudson River provided direct access to Manhattan at the newly-constructed Pennsylvania Station, the terminal fell into gradual disuse, and in 1963 became the development site of the Harborside Financial Center.

Over the years Markers has adapted to the ever-changing needs of our clientele, and has now evolved into four distinct types of restaurant operations:

Full-Service: Markers Harborside Grille is a classic American grill that offers a broad menu of lunch and dinner favorites in a warm and relaxed setting. Known for its comfortable seating, accessible menu and spacious bar, Markers has established itself as one of the leading full-service restaurants in the Jersey City financial district.

Quick Service: Markers Express is a highly stylized takeout and delivery restaurant featuring Breakfast Sandwiches, Omelettes, Muffins & Bagels; Jersey City’s own Kobrick’s Coffee, roasted from 100% Arabica beans; Signature Sandwiches & Burgers, Grilled Panini, Gourmet Sicilian Pizza, Heart-Warming Soups and a World-Class Salad Bar where our guests create their own fresh custom salads tossed to order.

Smoothie Bar: Express Smoothies and Frozen Coffee Blends is a Smoothie & Coffee Bar serving the freshest, healthiest, most deliciously refreshing Fruit Smoothies and Frozen Coffee Blends not just in this town, but in any town. Enjoy Fruit Smoothies made with Non-fat Frozen Yogurts and Sorbets, Organic Agave Nectar, Acai Brazilian Berries and Nutritional Supplements, as well as Coffee Blends made with Caramel, Chocolate, Fresh Bananas and 100% Gourmet Arabica Coffee Beans.
